”White Sun of the Desert” (the Mosfilm movie with english subs is free on Youtube) would also be cool for a one-off Episode. My Mom had a good laugh at it, I’m sure it’d hit your humor too. Genre-wise it’s what we called an ”Ostern” in communist Germany. It’s like a Western, but set in soviet Turkmenistan.

In case you’re taking media recommendations for future Episodes once you’re through with ASOIAF, here are my shamelessly biased suggestions: ”How the Steel was tempered” by Nikolai Ostrovsky (the translation by the Communist Party of Australia is goated with the vegemite because of how they chose to translate working class slang) would just be cool to see discussed by anyone because it has such a lasting literary influence, mainly in China. Would be interesting to see a normie reading of it.
